A Passion for Making a Difference

When InStride Health co-founders Dr. Mona Potter and Dr. Kathryn Boger met more than a decade ago, they shared a commitment to improving mental health care for adolescents. Too often they saw kids in acute crisis in residential programs whose untreated anxiety or OCD had escalated to other problems, including substance use and suicidal behaviors.
Together, they helped create the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP). This groundbreaking program provided the specialized, intense treatment needed to help these kids reclaim their lives and the things that mattered to them. The program delivered superior outcomes and was soon attracting families from around the world. It was so successful, they couldn’t make room fast enough, and there were few comparable programs for the families waiting for care.

They knew they needed to do more.

InStride Health was formed with a clear vision: To solve the pediatric mental health crisis. Working in collaboration with McLean Hospital, we’re making proven, evidence-based treatment even more accessible through virtual delivery. And we’re doing it with a diverse mix of leading clinicians, healthcare specialists, digital innovators and experienced entrepreneurs who all have something in common—the big-time heart they bring to the table.

Here, we lead with heart, treating patients and their families the way we want our loved ones to be treated. We bring our passion for helping others to work every day, pushing ourselves and our team to go above and beyond to solve hard problems. There are no egos here, just a welcoming community focused on a common goal: providing desperately needed, insurance-based access to virtual treatment that works for kids, teens and young adults with anxiety and/or OCD.

We’re not content to sit back and watch the traditional mental health system fail so many people while this epidemic takes its toll on health, families, school and every aspect of life. Nor are we content with what we’ve already accomplished. We resolve to continue innovating and improving so that InStride leads the way in delivering the compassionate, comprehensive and effective care that provides hope and healing.

When you feel hopeless, we hold the hope for you. When you’re discouraged, we prop you up. We’ve got your back, and we’re with you as long as you need us. We are in this together, so nobody
ever has to worry alone.
